Submit Work

Open Submission 2011

Open Fridge 2011 is on hold at the moment. We've had a busy year and haven't been able to find the time to devote to this show. Sorry. Email me, Alban, at openfridge@googlemail.com
for news on our next venture.

If you would like to submit work for Open Fridge 2011 this is what you need to do - Its FREE to enter

Where do I send it?
Send up to 4 Jpegs of your work to openfridge@googlemail.com before the deadline of  Friday 22nd July 2011. The images needs to be in a 4:3 ratio (so any variation of 8cm x 6cm, 12cm x 9cm etc). Include your name, the title of the image/work and a street address (so that we can send you a magnet back)

The work will then be turned into a magnet measuring 5cm by 6.68cm.

If you do not want to send it electronically then send me the flat physical work and I'll scan it myself. Drop me an email to get my home address.

How many will be printed?
We will print 4 copies of your image. One will be sent to you, to say thank you for being involved. The others will be exhibited and sold to collectors to support the exhibition. The magnets will be sold for £1 in England and 1 Euro in France.
Each magnet will have your name and exhibition number on it.

What if I want more copies of my work?
During the months of August and September 2011 I'll take orders from the artist (you) for extra magnets.

Send me an email with the amount you need.

View the Awards page of this blog to see which competitions and awards you'll be eligible for.

Open Fridge aims to be totally inclusive but we reserve the right to reject any work that may be offensive/inappropriate.

The sale of magnets should cover all the costs incurred. The 2010 exhibition funded the £25 artist's prize and the excess generated was given to Prostate Cancer Research (£17) and funded an exhibition for our artists at the Fringe Arts Festival In Bath 2010.

We aim to include an artwork from every artist who enters.
